Taylar Wheeler

My name is Taylar Wheeler and apart from pizza and having Harry Potter marathons, I also really love art and being creative.

In regards to my artistic passions, my main field of interest is that of illustration. Whilst I enjoy exploring the digital side of it, I find nothing quite beats the feeling of an actual pencil on paper so I particularly love doing a lot of traditional pieces using mediums such as watercolours, inks, and graphite.

Aside from drawing and being creative, my other main passion throughout my life has been that of books. Something about being able to escape from my life and into that of someone else’s through marks on a page has always been such a beautiful and much loved concept to me, and so it has been my dream for a long time now to take my love of both drawing and reading and aim towards working in the field of book illustration.

The mediums that I have used in my artworks for this exhibition include a combination of both digital and traditional mediums, specifically that of photography and illustration using ink and watercolours.
